13th (Western) Division

Formed on Salisbury Plain in August 1914 as part of the First New Army. Arrived in Gallipoli in July 1915, served here until January 1916 when the Division moved to Egypt. The Division served on the Suez Canal until February 1916. The Division then went to Mesopotamia. Served in Mesopotamia until the Armistice (31 October 1918).
