In April 1915 the 202nd Brigade formed the Kent Composite Bn. This Battalion was formed from the HQ an one Company from the 2/4th Bn Queen’s Own, one Company from the 2/5th Bn Queen’s Own and one Company each from the 2/4th and 2/5th Bns Buffs. The Kent Composite Bn joined the 53rd Division on 24 Apr 1915 and eventually became the 2/4th Bn Queen’s Own. The Battalions all returned to the 67th Division except the 2/4th Bn Queen’s Own which was replaced by the 3/4th Bn Queen’s Own.
