72nd Division

The Division was formed in Somerset in November 1916. The Infantry was provided by the breaking up of the 8th Provisional Brigade and some units from the 188th Brigade, 63rd Division. The Division remained in Great Britain on Home Defence Duties. The break up of the Division was started in January 1918 and was completed by April 1918.
